Integration with Medium
In order for mnml to publish the stories you write, Medium requires that you assign a token to mnml for each of your accounts on Medium.
Setting up a Medium Integration Token
- Go to https://medium.com/me/settings and scroll down to “Integration Tokens”.

- Enter “mnml” as the description for your token, then press the “Get integration token” button.
- A new token is generated and displayed below the token generation form, similar to this:

- Select the entire token text (the token spans two lines) and copy ⌘C the selection.
- Should you ever wish to remove access from mnml to publish to Medium, press the “Revoke” button and confirm the following dialog box.
- Open mnml and press
then press
. - Follow the dialog instructions for signing into your Medium account.
- When prompted, paste ⌘V the token into the field, then press the Connect button.
To change your Medium blog settings within mnml
- Click
to open the blog menu. - Click and drag the
handle to adjust the ordering of your blogs.
To delete your Medium blog
- Click
to open the blog menu. - Click
to delete the corresponding blog.

Writing a new story
- To add a new blog press the
button on the top navigation bar. - Press the floating
button located to the left of the text cursor to open the editor toolbar.
- Click
to add an image. - To paste a link or embed content click the
button. - Insert a horizontal separator with

closes floating toolbar.

Managing stories
The top navigation bar let you work effectively with the stories.

- To open the side menu click the list button
- mnml sorts your stories by the following types
- All: The full list of blog posts (stories), the search by blog title, tags and groups.
- Starred: Posts (stories) covered with star-shaped mark, the search by blog title, tags and groups.
- mnml sorts your stories by the following types
- Click the
button to sort the stories by local date or by name. - Press the
button to star the story.
- Starring is a useful way to flag stories for later reference.
- Press the
button to assign the tag to the story. - Press the
button to assign the story to a group.
Story information and settings
Clicking the information button on the far right of the toolbar brings up a side panel with the following capabilities:
- Switch editor view to Day or Night
- Change the typeface and text size
- Change text alignment
- Recent Post Update
- Count the approximate reading time, amount of characters and words you have written
Quick Publishing
Quick Publish allows you to quickly publish a blog post by creating your own default settings. This will help you publish with greater speed!
To set blog for Quick Publish:
- Click the
button. - Then choose the status of your story (public, draft, unlisted)
- Assign the tags, canonical URL, and/or a license
- To set these settings for quick publishing press the Quick Publish button
iCloud
Store and synchronize all your documents using iCloud drive.
- This feature requires that you have iCloud configured on your Mac and that iCloud drive is enabled.
To add a document to iCloud
- Press the Title of the document
- Click the drop down list next to the “Where” option and select iCloud Drive.
OR
- From the menu, select File > Move To
- Choose to save in iCloud
Now your story will be available in your iCloud account from any device you use.
